Stillman's Tree Service

About Us

Stillman’s Tree Service has been removing, trimming, and caring for trees across Bradenton and Manatee County for twenty years. We’re family owned and operated. Andrew Stillman runs the company the way he’d want a tree company running for him—straightforward pricing, work that holds up, and no promises we can’t keep.

You’re choosing between a real company and an uninsured crew that knocked on your door after a storm. That difference shows up everywhere—insurance that protects you if something goes wrong, a license that means we’ve met the state’s bar, experience you can verify, and the ability to stand behind what we do.

Licensed, Insured, and Verified

We carry General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance. The certificate is available on request. We hold a Florida business license. We’ve been in the same market long enough to know how trees behave here—how live oaks root in sandy soil, what salt exposure does to the palms on the islands, why lightning strike is a serious cause of decline in Manatee County when it isn’t further north. That knowledge keeps the work safe and the estimate honest.

How We Work—Free Estimates, Straight Talk

Every estimate is free. We come to your property, look at the tree, explain what’s happening and why, walk through the options, and give you a price. That’s standard practice. What happens after you call is simple: we show up when we say we will, do the work the way we told you, and clean up after ourselves.

Tree Services We Provide

We handle tree removal—whether it’s a single oak in a tight yard, a multi-stem tree with included bark that’s failing, or a palm that’s been struck by lightning. We trim trees to ANSI A300 standards, which means proper pruning that keeps the tree sound and doesn’t weaken it. We trim palms the way they’re meant to be trimmed, not topped into stubs. We grind stumps. We treat trees for disease and decline. We handle emergency work when a storm takes down a tree. We clear land in the east Manatee corridor. We use crane assist when trees are too close to a house for conventional rigging. We also trim hedges and shrubs.

Storm Season Response and Emergency Work

During hurricane season—June through November—we keep capacity for emergency calls. If a storm takes down a tree or a limb hangs over your house, call. We do storm response work. We can’t promise same-day response; it depends on how many calls come in. But we prioritize safety hazards and work as fast as we can.

Twenty years is long enough to build a reputation you can verify. We’re here. We answer the phone. We do what we say. That’s not a story—it’s just the work.
